At DroneTech Photography, safety and compliance are our top priorities. This Drone Usage Policy outlines the guidelines we follow to ensure the safe, legal, and professional operation of drones during all projects. By hiring our services, you acknowledge and agree to these practices.

  • Compliance with Laws and Regulations

    • All drone operations comply with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, including Part 107 guidelines for commercial drone use. 

    • Flights are conducted in accordance with state and local laws, including restrictions on airspace usage, privacy, and safety. 

    • We obtain necessary authorizations for operations in controlled airspace, where applicable.

  • Safety Guidelines

    • Pre-Flight Assessments: Each flight is preceded by a comprehensive site inspection to identify potential hazards, including obstacles, weather conditions, and airspace restrictions.

    • Restricted Areas: Drones will not be operated in restricted airspace, near airports, over people, or in other prohibited areas without proper authorization.

    • Weather Conditions: Flights are only conducted in favorable weather. Operations will be postponed or rescheduled due to high winds, rain, or other adverse conditions.

    • Altitude Limitations: Drones are operated below 400 feet above ground level, as required by FAA regulations.

  • Privacy and Respect

    • DroneTech Photography respects the privacy of individuals and properties. 

    • We do not conduct flights over private property without prior consent. 

    • No surveillance or unauthorized video/photo recording will be conducted.

  • Insurance Coverage

    • DroneTech Photography maintains comprehensive liability insurance for all drone operations. This coverage protects against potential damages or incidents arising during our projects.

  • Client Responsibilities

    • Clients are responsible for ensuring the site is accessible and safe for drone operations.

    • If drone operations require permissions from property owners, neighbors, or local authorities, the client must secure these permissions prior to the scheduled flight.

  • Flight Restrictions

    • No-Fly Zones: Operations in no-fly zones or restricted areas are prohibited unless specific waivers or authorizations are obtained.

    • Night Operations: Flights during nighttime hours will only occur if a waiver from the FAA has been approved.

    • Prohibited Activities: Drones will not be used for illegal, unethical, or unsafe purposes.

  • Equipment and Maintenance

    • All drones and associated equipment undergo routine maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation. 

    • Pre-flight and post-flight inspections are conducted to confirm that equipment is in optimal condition.

  • Modifications and Cancellations

    • Drone operations may be modified, rescheduled, or canceled at DroneTech Photography’s discretion due to safety, weather, or compliance concerns.

  • Reporting Issues

    • Any incidents or issues that arise during drone operations will be promptly reported and documented in compliance with FAA requirements.
